In this video, I have described the application of Diazomethane for Ketone homologation to higher analogue with a complete mechanism where one carbon enhancement was achieved. In this reaction, the epoxide is produced as a by-product. The reaction proceeds through the role of Diazomethane as nucleophile and ketone act here as an electrophile.
