Peanut Chutney Recipe | How to make Authentic South Indian Style Peanut Chutney | Recipe in Hindi Video
Complement any South Indian dish be it Idli, dosa, appam with this authentic South Indian style peanut Chutney. Don't have much time than try the other instant version of the same peanut Chutney.
Ingredients for South Indian Style peanut Chutney:-
1 cup peanut
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 red chilli
2 tsp roughly chopped fresh coconut
Some curry Leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp oil
Water as required
Ingredients for Instant peanut Chutney:-
1 cup roasted peanut
1 tsp roasted Cumin seeds powder
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 chopped green chilli
Salt to taste
1 tsp coriander powder
Water for grinding
For tempering:- 1 tsp mustard seeds, some curry Leaves, 1 tsp oil
Method to make south Indian Style peanut Chutney:-
1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add Cumin seeds, curry leaves & 1 red chilli
2. Once they start to crackle add chopped ginger & garlic.
3. Add 1 cup peanuts and roast them in medium to low heat
4. When peanut turns golden brown add salt to taste, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp paprika
5. In the end add 2 tsp roughly chopped fresh coconut.
6. Mix everything well, switch off the flame and keep the mixture aside to cool
7. Once cool, grind the mixture in some water to make a paste.
8. For tempering heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan, add 1 tsp mustard seeds and some curry leaves.
9. Add the tadka to the chutney & cover it, let it stand for 1 min. You South Indian Style peanut Chutney is ready to serve.
Method to make instant peanut Chutney:-
Put all the above ingredients in the grinder and grind to make a paste. For tempering heat 1 tsp oil, add mustard seeds & curry leaves. Once they start to crackle add it to the chutney and cover it, let it stand for a min. Instant peanut Chutney is ready to serve.
