There’s nothing we love more than a new Disney movie, especially when it involves groundbreaking new Disney Princesses. What if we were to tell you there are Disney rumors about a “Moana” sequel? And that “Moana 2” is going to star a Latina Princess? Well, that’s what Lin-Manuel Miranda’s father reckons! He says Lin-Manuel, who co-wrote the music for “Moana”, is “talking to Disney about a sequel”. The extra bit about the Latina princess takes this Disney sequels news to the next level. Of course, Disney already has a Latina princess in the shape of TV’s Elena of Avalor (who was trapped in Sofia the First’s amulet), but she’s not got her own feature-length movie. Like “The Princess and the Frog”’s Tiana before her, plus Pocahontas and Mulan, this new princess will make the Disney Princess franchise more diverse.
