Get a High Score in IELTS Writing with a Simple Plan
1. The IELTS test date is approaching, and you need to know what you can do to get the highest score possible.
2. Many people think they need to improve their English to get a higher score, but it is highly unlikely that your English will be able to improve so significantly in such a short amount of time. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
3. Although this might help, it would be far more effective to devote your energy to what really counts on the IELTS writing test. Click here to watch my IELTS videos
4. I am going to tell you exactly what you can do to get a higher score in IELTS Writing Task 2. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
5. Half of your writing score in IELTS is based on two categories: . 1. Task achievement - how well you follow the task and stay on topic . 2. Coherency - how organized your writing is and how easy it is to understand
6. If you can get these two things right, you have a far better chance of getting a higher score. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book https://www.speakingenglishtoday.com/
7. If you don’t get this right, be prepared to get a far lower score than you could for your current English level.
8. It takes a lot more time to improve your grammar and the vocabulary you would need to impress the examiner on so many possible topics that you could get, and time is key. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
9. You probably don’t have that much time before you take the test, so you need to focus on getting the best result in the fastest possible way.
10. I talk about this in my video, and I just wanted to expand on this to make it very clear. Click here to watch my IELTS videos
11. In my experience, most of my students are not bad in grammar and vocabulary, but they make so many mistakes that result from a lack of planning.
12. The problem is that they did not: •Clearly answer the topic in the introduction and conclusion •Mention all of the parts of the task •Have well supported ideas •Use correct paragraph structure •Write enough examples •Include specific examples from their experience or knowledge
13. Sometimes people go overboard on making their writing fancy, and they write sentences that they can’t pull off. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
14. Do you understand what I just said? I hope so, because you need to use idioms like these to get above a 6.0 in IELTS speaking. I will talk more about that in another post.
15. What I mean is that I have seen many people try to write in such a sophisticated way, but they can’t. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
16. Don’t write complicated sentences that are way beyond your English level, because the examiner might not be able to understand what you wrote.
17. That would be like shooting yourself in the foot. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
18. Go overboard on: do something too much usually from being too excited or too enthusiastic Pull off: do something well Shoot yourself in the foot: do something that will harm yourself in some way
19. So What Should You Do?
20. You need to have a plan for what you will write about, and that plan has to clearly relate to all of the ideas in the task.
21. You should spend 5 to 10 minutes planning and making your outline before you start writing.
22. You outline should follow this basic structure: INTRODUCTION Topic Answer to the task BODY PARAGRAPH 1 Main idea 1 Reason Example BODY PARAGRAPH 2 Main idea 2 Reason Example
23. Don’t write your outline in full sentences. Just use enough words for each part to know what you are going to write about. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
24. After that, you are ready to write your essay for IELTS Writing Task 2. Click here to download my Free IELTS Book
25. If you don’t get this right, be prepared to get a far lower score than you could for your current English level.
26. I made a general guideline that explains every sentence you need to write, and my students like it so much that I have got to share it with you.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
