1 cup sabudana/ sago/ tapioca Pearls
2 large boiled and mashed potatoes
1 cup chopped cilantro/coriander Leaves
2 tsp corn flour for binding
1 cup chopped onions
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 tsp chopped green chillies
Salt to taste
Method to make sabudana tikki:-
1. Soak sabudana (sago) in water for at least 3-4 hours or overnight
2. When sabudana has turned soft and fluffy start making sabudana tikki mix
3. In a large bowl combine sabudana, 2 large boiled and mashed potatoes, chopped coriander Leaves, coriander powder, dry mango powder, salt to taste, chopped green chillies, and 2 tsp corn flour for binding the tikkis
4. Make small patties/ tikkis of this aloo/potato and sabudana / sago mixture and make sure it's not soggy( add some more corn flour if so) The tikkis/ patties should be a little tighter.
5. Put a pan/kadai on medium to high heat and heat oil in it till hot.
6. Now, carefully place the sabudana tikki/ sago-potato patties in it and deep fry till they turn crispy.
7. Serve these sabudana tikkis/ sago patties hot/warm with imli, peanut chutney and beaten curd.
