When it comes to mixing primaries the colors I recommend are:

Cadmium Red Light (light red/orange)
Quinacidrone Magenta (dark blue red)
Cadmium Yellow or Hansa Yellow (bright-ish light yellow with either a fairly true hue or a slight green undertone)
Yellow Ochre (a warmer more orange and neutral darker yellow)
Ultramarine Blue (a fairly true and deep blue that sometimes leans purple/red-you can technically get away with just having this one probably)
Phlato Blue Green Shade or Primary Cyan (blues with a green undertone)
Titanium White (a very opaque white)
Mars Black (you won't need this as much but if you want to paint seriously you will need it and this is the truest black)

The best set I have found for acrylic paints (and it was honestly a bitch to find because all of the sets had stupid primary colors in them IMHO) is this one from Golden Paints.

Bonus points because it comes with every color you need (except black), golden is my favorite acrylic paint brand (liquitex is close second) and it's their Open line of slow-drying acrylics. I like these sooo much more than traditional acrylics. My background is in oil painting (which takes approximately 7 million years to dry) so I'm used to constant workability and get real annoyed with acrylics because they dry so fast. But, these slow drying ones are a nice compromise and are much less frustrating especially when you are learning to mix and may want some time to work with the colors. If you buy this set, either use a 40% off coupon at Michaels or get it on amazon because it retails for $55 at Michaels but it's $35 on amazon (as of this description box writing) so it's a big ripoff without a coupon.

I hope you guys enjoy this long and kind of nerdy video about mixing paints and that it actually makes sense.

I sometimes use affiliate links for products I recommend. This doesn't influence my recommendations.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
