What's Hidden Behind This Rock? Metal Detecting With Stunning Finds! Video
Metal detecting adventure with hidden item in a tree and some stunning medieval finds! It started in the dark, with thunderstorm clouds above my head. I though, I won't be able to finish this hunt, but the metal detecting Gods cleared the sky and gave me a little bit of time. The heavy rain caught me on my way to the bus stop :). I even welcomed it, because it was so hot.
I was struggling at the beginning, because the area seemed cleaned out very well. It took me some time to adjust the "radar". A small very old looking buckle made the start. A few rusty Pfennig coins followed, confirming that everything non ferrous was already found. I then relocated a bit and was able to make a few interesting finds.
Another buckle came as a big surprise. Maybe I should mention the horseshoe which was strangely shaped with some wavy edges. I assume it's medieval and dates probably between 1150-1300. Take a look at a similar looking example: ▶ https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1030624
I also found a hidden object in a tree behind a rock. It was a geocache with a logbook inside. I don't know how many geocaches I already found since I started detecting... it must have been a lot! I think I should create my own stamp and leave a mark in the logbook. :)

After some struggle between dense vegetation, I happen to stumble upon a tiny "nest" with amazing medieval (?) finds! It looked like leather strap ends, fittings, or dress fasteners, connected with a bronze ring. As this wasn't enough, another piece appeared shortly after.
