In this video, I have described the Wolff-Kishner Reduction where I have explained the basic concept and reaction mechanism. This reaction is nothing but the reduction of carbonyl group into methylene in the presence of hydrazine. This reaction is carbonyl reduction in basic medium, unlike Clemenson reduction which is carried out in acidic medium.
