How we made BABY YODA COOKIES! - Star Wars DIY Video
Hey everybody and welcome to Leia's Lair. Here is our How-To make Baby Yoda Cookies video! Below is the ingredient list and the directions for making Baby Yoda Sugar Cookies! I hope you enjoy!
Sugar Cookie Ingredients
1 Cup Unsalted Butter
1 Cup Sugar (200g)
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Large Egg
2 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour (315g)
3/4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 Teaspoons Salt
Sugar Cookie Directions
1. Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix.
2. Then add egg and vanilla extract and mix until completely combined.
3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Gradually add these ingredients into large bowl until completely combined.
5. Lay out plastic wrap and put approximately half of the dough onto the wrap.
6. Surround the dough and mold into a disk. Repeat this step with remaining half of the dough. Transfer disks to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2-3 hours.
7. Then preheat the oven to 350F (175C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then set aside.
8. Cover a clean surface with some flour and deposit one of the cookie dough disks onto the surface. Lightly flour the dough and roll out to 1/8" or 1/4" (based on your preference). Continue to add flour to the dough so that it doesn't stick.
9. Use a ghost shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes and then, using a knife, remove the heads. Then transfer to prepared baking sheet.
10. Bake on 350F (175C) for 9-10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies just begin to turn lightly golden brown.
11. Then allow cookies to cool on cookie sheet before moving and frosting.
Icing Ingredients
4 Cups of Powdered Sugar (480g)
3 Tablespoons of Meringue Powder
1/2 Cup of Water
Icing Directions
1. Put powdered sugar through a sifter into a large mixing bowl.
2. Then add meringue powder into the mixing bowl.
3. Then add water and mix the ingredients together.
4. Add food coloring and mix into ingredients until desired color achieved.
5. Put a ziplock bag into a glass and transfer icing into bag.
6. Push icing into corner and twist the top, creating a seal.
7. Make a hole in the corner that will be used to decorate the cookies.
8. Repeat directions for different colors.
After the icing and cookies are done you can decorate them to look like Baby Yoda. We made green icing for his head, hands, and feet. We also made brown icing for the outline of his clothes and for his soup cup. We then used chocolate chips for the eyes. Hope you enjoy!
