Healthy Breakfast Recipe for Winters | How to make Oats Ragi/ Nachani/ Apple Porridge | Weight Loss Video
A warm bowl of this Ragi (finger Millet)/ Nachani Apple and oats breakfast will not only give you can excellent start for the day but will also keep you full and stated for long in winters. Both oats and Ragi are highly nutritious and considered best for weight loss. With low glycemic Index and high Fibre content it is also good for your stomach.
Ingredients to make Ragi (finger Millet)/ Nachani Apple and Oats porridge.
1 tbsp Ragi flour (finger Millet)
1 Red Apple
2 tbsp Quick Oats
1 tsp crushed jaggery (gur)
1 tsp flax seeds powder Powder
1 cup chopped Makhane (lotus seeds)
1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1 tsp cacao Powder (optional)
6 Almonds ( chopped)
1 tsp pumpkin seeds
1 tsp Chopped Walnuts
Some raisins
Water as required
Method to make healthy Ragi, Apple and Oats porridge.
Mix Ragi flour into required amount of water to make a thick runny paste.
Peel and grate an apple
In a pan add 2 tsp of water, switch on the flames into the pan add the grated apple and cook for some time. Add jaggery, flax seeds powder and cinnamon.
Add the Ragi paste and bring the mixture to a boil and than let it simmer for 15 minutes - 18 min (add extra water if the mixture starts to thicken.
Once cooked add chopped nuts and seeds, lotus seeds, quick Oats and raisins cook Everything for another 2-3 minutes. (Add coco or cacao Powder for chocolatly flavour)
Serve it warm for Breakfast.
