Toddler World TV celebrates five years of educational videos and songs on YouTube with a new version of our very first song, the Balloon Song (for learning colors). The Balloon Song was written in 2012 by Matthew John Dorman (and performed by his band, Little Blue Globe Band) to help teach his baby daughter Taika (Taika means 'magic' in Finnish) basic colors (you can see Taika playing violin in the video). The song worked so well that Matt made a video for it and uploaded it to YouTube in early 2013. It was not monetized at first -- it was simply used to teach Taika (and her relatives and friends) colors. The video quickly became an international toddler hit, and many more videos soon followed.

This rendition features a new version of the song coupled with a new live action video featuring sisters Taika and Saima playing music and playing with balloons. Like the original version, the five year anniversary version of the Balloon Song is designed to help toddlers, young children, and older kids who are non-native speakers learn the basic colors - and have fun in the process. We hope you enjoy the video!

The song will soon be available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and many other digital stores.

Lyrics:

THE BALLOON SONG

Red, red balloon, floating in the sky
Blue, blue balloon, drifting up so high
White, white balloon, flying through the air
Green, green balloon, you can see it everywhere

The balloon song, balloon song, this is the balloon song

Brown, brown balloon, blowing in the wind
Black, black balloon, floating by me again
Purple, purple balloon, such a beautiful thing
Orange Orange balloon, makes me want to sing

The balloon song, balloon song, this is the balloon song

Ok...let's sing it a little quieter now...are you ready? Let's go...

Yellow, yellow balloon, high above the trees
Pink, pink balloon, coming back to me
Coming back to me
Coming back to me

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
